The Story of the Year Finder

Part of my work involves digital archiving of old projects. Sometimes all I’ll have is a scanned flyer with something like “Supercool Film Festival, Fri 9th June - Sunday 11th June”. How do I know which year it was?!

Rather than making an ugly and clunky spreadsheet, I thought I’d write something in php that I could share with other people. And here it is. Once I’ve seen the possible years, I can usually make a fair guess at which one’s the right one.

There probably is something online that does this, but I couldn’t find it - all I got were sites that told you what day a particular date fell on and everything except for what I wanted.

So, that’s the story of the CreativeMedia.org.uk Year Finder, just one of many Creative Media Ideas.
